We are partnering with Living Carbon to study the physiology and growth performance of photorespiration-suppressed transgenic poplars in the field.  Based on promising greenhouse studies in poplar and field studies in tobacco, three genes were inserted to modify the photorespiration pathway, hopefully elevating carbon gain.
